National Lottery retailers up and down the UK can expect a huge few days as players flock to stores for their chance of winning the £12.4m Lotto Must Be Won draw and the special event EuroMillions draw, which not only features a gigantic £96m jackpot, but will also make 20 guaranteed UK Millionaires.
Together, the draws are set to provide an incredible opportunity for National Lottery retail partners to increase sales and boost both their commission and bottom lines.
Wednesday’s £12.4m Lotto Must Be Won draw is expected to have huge interest from players across the UK – especially as in the last Must Be Won on 26th June, an incredible 140,032 ticket-holders scooped an amazing £96, instead of the usual £30, for matching three numbers.
Meanwhile, Friday’s EuroMillions 20 UK Millionaires special event draw will feature a Jackpot that’s been rolling for several weeks to make it a mega draw, with 20 Millionaire Maker £1m winners guaranteed and an enormous £96m Jackpot up for grabs.
The POS for the EuroMillions draw is in store this week and retailers should have this up and ready to deliver those extra sales.
Camelot’s Retail Director, Jenny Blogg, commented: “We’re expecting increases in sales across the EuroMillions and Lotto games this week thanks to the Must Be Won and the special EuroMillions draw, which arrives at a time when the jackpot has rolled to almost £100m.
“There’s a host of things retailers can do to get the most from this week, including ensuring that all new POS is out and sited in the most prominent locations, which includes ensuring media screens are visible at all times. It is also a great opportunity for all retailers and their teams to have conversations with customers about National Lottery products, Jackpots and anything else related to the exciting upcoming draws.
“As always, without our National Lottery retail partners, none of this excitement would be possible and we’d like to thank them for playing their part in helping to raise around £30m every single week for Good Causes.”
