As part of our on-going campaign against retail crime, the NFRN is calling upon MPs to support an amendment to the Offensive Weapons Bill that will make it an offence to obstruct or threaten a retailer who is enforcing the age restrictions on the sale of corrosive or bladed items.

This Bill follows on from more wide-ranging legislation in Scotland and is an important step in strengthening the legal protection for retailers and their staff.

The amendment, proposed by David Hanson MP (pictured), is being discussed in the House of Commons.

The NFRN is asking all members to contact their local MP to ask them to support David Hanson’s Amendment to the Offensive Weapons Bill.
