According to Homeless UK, approximately 3500 people sleep rough every single night across the UK. ‘Pass It On’ is the biggest Smiths News’ Christmas charity campaign ever, aiming to make life a little warmer for some of the most vulnerable people across the UK this winter.
Pass It On offers employees of Smiths News, and its sister brands Pass My Parcel and Jack’s beans, the opportunity to give something back to the community this Christmas. Employees from all areas of the business have been donating their old winter clothes, especially fleeces, coats, hoodies, hats, scarfs, and gloves, to be passed on to homeless people this winter.
Between 15th and 22nd December volunteers from Pass My Parcel and Jack’s beans will take to the road on a series of visits to charities and homeless hotspots across the U.K. The visits in a Jack’s beans barista van will provide hot drinks to those in need, as well as distributing the winter clothing that has been donated by staff.
The Pass It On campaign is the first time that Pass My Parcel and Jack’s beans, have worked together. The coverage of the two brands enables the campaign to reach far and wide and help as many vulnerable people as possible.
