Mail Newspapers has awarded Jonathan Powell of The Newsagent Direct in Newport a massive 1 million Nectar points, officially making him the UK’s latest Nectar millionaire!
In September, Mail Newspapers’ launched their very own Nectar Millionaire competition exclusively with the NFRN.
To be in with a chance of winning, the retailers had to:
- Increase their sales of the Mail from Monday 11th September to Sunday 8th October
- Complete the online entry form with their results from the promotion
- Upload photos to support their entry of their enhanced newspaper displays and the provided MyMail point of sale promoting the partnership!
- Be a member of the NFRN.
Jonathan won not only for his support of the launch of the MyMail and Nectar partnership but for his creative ways of getting his customers involved. He promoted the offer across all his social media channels – generating over 13,000 engagements with his Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn posts about the offer. He also included the MyMail and Nectar message on his own home news delivery leaflets and distributed them to homes in the Newport area and made sure all staff made every customer they spoke to aware of the scheme.
A truly deserved win for Jonathan!
