Camelot, operator of The National Lottery, is urging its retail partners to make the most of upcoming changes to Lotto – as excitement builds ahead of the first draw on Wednesday (21 November).
A number of new features are set to increase excitement for Lotto players and retailers alike. These include bigger, fixed cash prizes – including £1 million for matching five main numbers + the Bonus Ball – jackpots that will be won more often, and a brand new ‘rolldown’ mechanic.
What’s more, for the first time, sales commission will be paid out when a player claims a Match 2 free Lotto Lucky Dip prize in store – resulting in an average annual commission boost of around £5 million.
Retailers can earn an extra £10 by uploading a picture of their new ‘Bigger Cash Prizes’ Playstation POS to www.nationallotteryallstars.co.uk through Camelot’s AllStars Bonus Event – which runs from 18 November to 8 December.
Camelot’s Retail Director Duncan Malyon said: “We’d like to remind our retail partners up and down the country to take full advantage of this exciting time with a few helpful tips that they can use to ensure they get the most from the new-look Lotto game. Taking full advantage of the changes will not only boost retailers’ bottom lines, it will also help maximise The National Lottery’s contribution to Good Causes and add to the around £30 million raised every week for local community projects.”
